Israelis Are Livid Over Trump Ending War, Overwhelmingly Believe Iran Won: Poll

After roping President Trump into breaking a core campaign promise, watching the United States expend resources and risk American lives to attack Iran, and then watching Trump take steps to end the war via MOU - Israelis are livid because the US didn't commit to full-on decimation to celebrate America's 250th, and say Iran came out ahead.

According to a survey conducted by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in partnership with the Agam Institute, 92.1% of Israelis believe Iran came out ahead in the conflict and the US-brokered deal that followed.

Even among voters loyal to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's conservative bloc, 93.1% said Iran won. 82.9% of respondents said the six-week military campaign against Iran left Israel's long-term security weaker, not stronger. Another 86% hold a negative view of both the way the fighting ended and the way Washington negotiated the subsequent deal without meaningful Israeli input. Nearly 88% of Israelis believe their country either fell short of its war aims entirely or achieved only partial success, despite the stated objectives being nothing less than dismantling Iran's nuclear program, neutering its missile arsenal, and toppling the regime in Tehran. Those were the goals. None of them, by the public's own assessment, were fully met.

Netanyahu has tried to project confidence in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding anyway. At a press conference Monday, he insisted Iran will never possess nuclear weapons "as long as I am prime minister of Israel." As we noted on Tuesday, hardline Israeli politicians are livid over the Iran deal, and want Netanyahu out so they can do 'real regime change.'

"With an agreement or without an agreement, Iran will not have nuclear weapons - not today and not tomorrow," he said, calling the mission his "life's mission." He has also maintained that the nuclear threat from Iran was an "immediate danger" that Israel removed "together with our American friends."

Either way, Israelis aren't buying it. 72.5% of respondents reject Netanyahu's claim that Israel secured major gains and eliminated an existential threat. Only 26.5% rate his handling of the war as "good" or "excellent," while 56.4% call it "failed" or "poor." His personal approval as prime minister has collapsed from 40.5% in early March to 29.4% in June, a fifteen-point swing in roughly three months.

And of course, there's Trump... with 69.1% of respondents rated his handling of the war and the resulting deal as "failed" or "poor," against just 10.8% who called it "good" or "excellent." Quite the change in sentiment from his 2024 election win...

Despite the widespread belief that the Iran campaign backfired, 48.2% of Israelis say their country should renew major military action against Hezbollah, including strikes in Beirut, even if that means clashing with Trump, who has made clear he wants the fighting in Lebanon to stop. Only 20.9% oppose that course, with the remaining 30.9% undecided. Israelis appear simultaneously convinced the last war was mishandled and eager for the next one.

Just 12.2% of respondents believe Israel achieved most of the stated goals against Hamas and Hezbollah following the October 7, 2023 attacks while 61.3% say Israel achieved none of them, and 26.5% say only some were met.

Across the Atlantic, the reception looks entirely different. A Quantus national poll of 1,000 likely US voters found 43% strongly approve and another 13% somewhat approve of the preliminary US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding. Combined disapproval sits at just 13%.

The Trump administration has been trying to respond to criticism of the deal, while Israeli cabinet members are talking mad shit about Trump - to the point where VP JD Vance came very close to asking if they've even said 'pwease' or 'thank you.'

Vance defended the MOU during Thursday's White House briefing, pushing back on what he said was misleading media coverage. “The simple fact is that the only way the Iranians get any of those resources - not a single penny, by the way, from the United States of America under any circumstances - but the only way that they would ever get any benefit of the bargain is if they comply fully, and change their behavior," Vance said of Iran, adding that Tehran's military and nuclear program "is still destroyed" if Iran refuses to change course. He also said that compliance would bring "a transformative relationship with the Middle East."

The Hebrew University-Agam Institute survey was conducted June 17–20, using a weighted sample of 3,644 Israelis aged 17 and over, designed to reflect the broader population, and has a maximum sampling error of just 2.2% at a 99% confidence level.

(LifeSiteNews) — A Christian Hollywood star has exposed the dark side of the foster care system which incentivises the bad behavior of people who medically and socially abuse children placed in their care.

Actress and singer Jen Lilley, a popular leading lady on the Hallmark and Great American Family Channels, went on the Shawn Ryan Podcast to discuss her experiences as a foster care parent.

Lilley explained how “bad people” make money by gaming the foster care system.

The actress recounted a disturbing exchange at a Los Angeles conference where she spoke with more experienced foster care parents.

“Oh honey, I make $28,000 a month off foster care … because I have this many kids,” one woman said.

“Here’s the thing: You want to get a D-Rate kid,” this woman continued, explaining that the more medical, emotional, and behavioral needs a child has, the more the foster care system will reimburse the foster parent.

“You want to make sure they fail in school. If they fail in school and you can get them on medication, your rate goes up,” the woman told Lilley. “Every time they don’t pass a grade, your rate goes up because they’re a more difficult kid. Every time they need medication, your rate goes up.”

Lilley declared, “This is a demonic situation that exists because the church closed her doors.”

According to a 2025 report by The Up Center, a Virginia-based nonprofit that supports foster families, several factors do indeed determine how much financial support a foster family receives, including:

Special Needs: Children with medical, emotional, or behavioral challenges qualify for higher reimbursement rates.

Age Groups: Older children typically have higher stipends due to increased costs for clothing, food, and activities.

Location: Payments vary by state, and sometimes even by county, depending on cost of living.

Emergency Placement: Short-term or emergency foster care may provide higher daily rates due to urgent needs.

Level of Care: Therapeutic or treatment foster care, where children require more specialized attention, comes with significantly higher payments.

Foster care payments range up to $1,200 per month per child depending on the state, age of the child, and level of care required.

Lilley noted that the intention of increasing the rates is likely meant to “incentivise good people to stick with it, but what it did was to incentivise all the wrong people — people who are in it for the money instead of for the love of a child.”

China Sanctions 10 US Defense, Rare Earth Firms, Restricts 46 From Govt Procurement Weeks After Pentagon Blacklist

China said on Monday that it will add 10 American firms to its export control list, including two rare earth firms MP Materials and USA Rare Earth, while also restricting 46 US firms from government procurement, signaling it would respond to Washington’s recent expansion of a military blacklist, even amid a broader stabilization of bilateral ties, the SCMP reported.

The Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on Monday that the 10 American firms to be added to the export control list were

It's notable that China's commerce ministry had already imposed curbs on a number of these listed firms and their subsidiaries, both in 2024 and 2025 over US arms sales to Taiwan. More notably, the inclusion of critical rare earth players like MP Materials and USA Rare Earth underscores Beijing's willingness to weaponize its monopoly over the global magnet and rare earths supply chains.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said the decisions were made in response to “malicious actions” by the US government, after the US Department of Defence expanded its list of “Chinese military companies”.

“China has decided, in accordance with the relevant laws and provisions… to include Aveox, Inc. and nine other US military-related entities on the export control list. The export of dual-use items to these entities is prohibited, and no export operators shall violate the above provisions,” said the commerce ministry spokesperson.

Analysts said that the measures from both sides so far were unlikely to significantly derail relations, though they also warned of the impact from any escalation. As we reported, on June 9, the Pentagon said it was adding dozens of Chinese companies - including tech giants Alibaba and Baidu - to a list of entities it says were linked to China’s military, widening a blacklist perceived as targeting sectors at the heart of US-China technological competition. The designation cut the firms off from US defense procurement; however, Baidu had quickly shot back, calling the suggestion that it is a military company "totally baseless".

The commerce ministry cited provisions of China’s laws on export control of dual-use items - products with both civilian and military applications - as well as the need to safeguard national security and fulfill "international non-proliferation obligations."

Specifically, export operators are prohibited from shipping dual-use items to the 10 firms. Organizations and individuals from any country or region are also prohibited from transferring or providing any dual-use item that originated in China to these businesses.

The notice mandated that any export currently under way that falls under the law must be stopped immediately.

Taiwan remains a sticking point in this tense ongoing diplomatic and defense tug-of-war, but Rubio has still lately confirmed that a proposed $14 billion arms package to Taiwan remains "under review" - in the wake of fierce Beijing objections.

According to the Wall Street Journal, here what was likely behind Beijing's calculus:

China’s actions on Monday “likely serve to build leverage for China in the ongoing negotiations with the U.S.,” said Henry Gao, a trade expert and professor of law at Singapore Management University. “In terms of the trade truce, this development introduces additional friction, but it does not necessarily derail the process.”

MP Materials, which enjoys financial backing from the Pentagon, is a leading U.S. miner and processor of rare earths. Although USA Rare Earth is less established as a player in the emerging industry, both companies are aggressively ramping up capacity in an attempt to break China’s stranglehold over the global supply chain of the key materials. MP Materials and USA Rare Earth didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Ministry of Finance also released a statement saying it would restrict 46 US firms from government procurement, excluding those involved in China-based US-Sino joint ventures, effective immediately. The list of 46 US companies includes Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Missiles & Defence, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, BDS (Boeing Defence, Space & Security), General Dynamics Land Systems and Javelin Joint Venture, a 50-50 partnership between Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.

Cameron Johnson, a partner at Shanghai-based consultancy Tidalwave Solutions, said the move is Beijing’s “brushback pitch” – a warning against other possible sanctions on China or its firms.

“This is a reaction to the US’ recent blacklisting by the Pentagon,” he said. “This also serves as a warning against any possible sanctions, such as ones targeting China’s open-source AI tools that are currently being discussed in the US.”

Johnson said that more trade sanctions were likely from both the US and China, as both countries attempt to increase leverage before President Xi Jinping’s visit to the US in September.

“So when they meet, they can use these measures as chips at the bargaining table,” he said.

Earlier this month, the Pentagon added technology giant Alibaba Group Holding, electric vehicle makers BYD and Nio, search engine Baidu, robot maker Unitree Robotics, networking equipment maker TP-Link and other Chinese companies in artificial intelligence, biotechnology and the solar sector to a list of “Chinese military companies”.

The designation, under Section 1260H of the National Defence Authorisation Act, can complicate firms’ access to US capital markets and government business, although it does not automatically trigger sanctions. Observers also said “reputational stigma” could affect the Chinese firms involved, and that the move could pave the way for tougher sanctions by the US.

For China, Johnson said the top leadership was also continuing to expand its export controls to blunt the impact from the US, particularly in non-proliferation compliance or in relation to activities or commodity trading it sees as detrimental to China and its companies.

Xin Qiang, a professor and deputy director of the Centre for American Studies at Fudan University, said Beijing was making it clear it would fight back against trade sanctions or designations, but that the ball is now in the US’ court.

“Beijing is making it clear it’s not afraid of tactical confrontation” he said.

Xin, however, warned that any further escalation could cast a pall over Xi’s planned September trip to the US.

“I think the next step will likely depend on whether the US continues to introduce new sanctions or confrontational measures. If so, China will certainly retaliate. If this falls into a vicious cycle, the impact will be extremely negative.”

GM replaces more than 1,000 workers with 50 robots at flagship Detroit plant: ‘We’re disgusted’

General Motors has gutted its electric-vehicle ambitions and killed more than 1,000 jobs at its flagship Detroit assembly plant — replacing those workers with 50 robots and sparking outrage from labor unions.

The “collaborative robots,” or “cobots,” have been installed on the assembly line at GM’s Factory Zero plant in Michigan amid a sharply reduced demand for its EV models and the ensuing push to cut costs, reports said.

The machines are now working alongside the remaining humans there who attach the body panels to vehicles as they move down the track, according to AutoBlog.

The automaker insists the cobots are not replacements to human workers and are actually necessary at the Detroit-Hamtramck electric-truck plant to stay competitive while improving “safety and ergonomics” for the workers, according to Crain’s Detroit Business and a company spokesman.

“We’ve been installing cobots across our manufacturing footprint as part of a broader push to bring more advanced technology into our operations,” spokesman Kevin Kelly said.

“At Factory ZERO, we are implementing them alongside our team — helping improve safety and ergonomics, while keeping our operations flexible and competitive,” he said, adding that the workers let go are only temporarily laid off.

Kelly did not specify if or when those workers would eventually return to work.

But United Auto Workers Local 22 president James Cotton isn’t buying it, saying the machines are simply a cost-cutting measure that is taking jobs from his union members.

“Our manpower is being taken away from us,” Cotton said, according to Crains.

“From top to bottom, we’re disgusted that they have cobots in our plants,” he said.

The number of labor hours required to produce a car has declined 50% to 70% since the 1980s, Crains reported.

But that hasn’t stopped UAW wages from going up. The union was able to make historic wage gains in 2023, and the union will likely seek stronger protections in its upcoming 2028 contract negotiations, the outlet said.

Cotton said that despite the company’s claim of the technology making conditions safer, he has safety concerns with robots working next to humans and noted the union has since filed grievances against GM over the cobots.

The cobots arrived as GM is getting hammered by slowing EV demand — largely because of the costs, according to AAA — with the automaker pausing production at Factory Zero multiple times over the past year.

In response to GM’s heavy automation push and cobot installation, UAW president Shawn Fain said workers are “in a fight for humanity,” reported the News Tribune.

“The fruits of our labor have multiplied like never before, but workers aren’t reaping the harvest,” he said, according to the outlet.

“And if AI continues to be used as an accessory to that crime, it has to be stopped — it doesn’t have to be this way — in a just society, when workers create more value, they see more of the benefit.”

In the first quarter of 2026, GM reported $4.25 billion in profits, up 22% from the same period the previous year, according to Yahoo! Finance.

New York To Pay Prostitutes Millions For Free Healthcare

New Yorkers are set to keep paying for prostitutes’ STD treatments and birth control.

Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul’s administration will spend an additional $1.5 million in tax-dollars on prostitutes’ healthcare, reviving the $1 million pilot program without legislative approval, The New York Post reported Friday.

New York State Department of Public Health, Hochul’s office, Community Health Project, and Evergreen Health did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Community Health Project owns the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center (Callen-Lorde) in Brooklyn, which “pioneered healthcare equity in the spirit of resistance—and with a deep commitment to fighting stigma and health disparities,” according to its website.

The New York State Department of Public Health’s AIDS Institute granted Callen-Lorde’s and Evergreen Health’s parent corporations $1 million to cover prostitutes’ primary, behavioral, dental, and sexual health services, The Post reported July 2023. The department recently extended the program through 2028 after expiring last year.

“The lengths by which New York Democrats will cater to the far left has no greater example then [sic] Gov. Hochul funding healthcare for hookers to the tune of millions while actual frontline healthcare workers … live on food stamps,” Republican Assemblyman Michael Novakhov reportedly said. “Instead of playing pimp, Kathy ‘Ho-Ho’ Hochul and Mayor ‘Madam’ Mamdani should consider making sure the heroes who answer 911 calls and save lives every day can afford their rent and groceries.”

The extension came after calls from Democratic firebrands such as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in favor of decriminalizing prostitution, according to The Post.

“Not only must we decriminalize sex work, we need a comprehensive platform of justice for all,” Mamdani stated in an X post during his May 2020 campaign for state assembly.

“[Hochul] is a target and trying to keep them [Mamdani and state Democratic Socialists of America] at bay [during her re-election bid] with other people’s money,” Republican Assemblyman Sam Pirozzolo reportedly said. He also pointed out how prostitutes can already receive abortions and pills for sexually transmitted diseases at medical facilities for free within the state.

A massive plume of Saharan dust is making its way across the Atlantic and is expected to reach parts of the southeastern US in the coming days.

The vast cloud consists of extremely dry, dust-filled air that forms over the Sahara Desert before being carried thousands of miles westward by strong winds.

Light to moderate Saharan dust has already begun drifting into South Florida, including the Miami area, creating hazy skies, suppressing thunderstorm activity and contributing to hotter, drier conditions.

Forecasters said a drier air mass, fueled by an approaching plume of Saharan dust, will move into the region beginning Tuesday.

The dust is expected to continue filtering across the state through the week, with its effects becoming increasingly noticeable by midweek.

Saharan dust contains fine particles, PM10 and especially PM2.5, minerals like quartz and feldspar, and sometimes microbes or pollutants picked up during transport.

These can be inhaled deep into the lungs or enter the bloodstream, causing respiratory and cardiovascular issues.

Other impacts include eye, nose, skin and throat irritation, headaches, fatigue and allergic reactions.

The Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management has issued an Air Quality Alert for fine particulate pollution that will remain in effect until 3pm ET Tuesday.

The alert covers inland, metropolitan, coastal and far southern portions of Miami-Dade County, including Miami, Hialeah, Kendall, Kendale Lakes, Carol City, Florida City, Redland, Fortymile Bend, Shark Valley Observation Tower, Pa-Hay Okee Overlook, Mahogany Hammock and Royal Palm Ranger Station.

Officials warned that concentrations of fine particulate matter may approach or exceed levels considered unhealthy, potentially affecting air quality across the region.

The greatest impacts of the Sahara dust are forecast from the middle of the week into the weekend as high pressure builds and additional dust arrives from the Atlantic.

Conditions are expected to gradually improve later in the week as moisture returns, although Saharan dust outbreaks are common across the southeastern US during the summer months.

Forecasters warned the plume could worsen conditions during an ongoing heat wave.

The NWS said temperatures will continue to climb into the mid-90s, while heat index values could reach between 105 and 110 degrees.

The arrival of the plume also means quiet hurricane activity.

As the dust travels toward the US, a dry pocket of air forms thousands of feet above sea level, bringing drier air and hotter conditions, suppressing tropical developments like hurricanes by removing the moisture they need to form.

Each summer, seasonal weather patterns like the West African Monsoon and high-pressure systems create strong winds that sweep across the Sahara.

These winds pick up tiny particles known as aeolian dust and lift them into the atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the Bermuda-Azores High, a high-pressure system over the Atlantic Ocean, produces steady east-to-west winds that help carry the dust across the ocean.

Another pattern, the African Easterly Jet, helps push the dust higher into the air and even farther west.

Together, these wind systems can transport Saharan dust over 5,000 miles, often reaching the Caribbean, Florida, and the Gulf Coast.

Dust activity usually peaks between June and mid-August, though the amount of dust varies from year to year.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that he was “horrified” to learn of a shooting attack in a heavily Jewish neighborhood in Montreal, Quebec, on Monday in which at least two people, including a police officer, were killed.

“My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, the first responders, and the entire community of Côte‑des‑Neiges,” Carney said in a post on X/Twitter.

Quebec Province Premier Christine Fréchette similarly shared that she was “deeply shaken” by the attack and that the government of Quebec “is offering its full cooperation to the authorities involved and will remain present to support the victims, their loved ones, and the community.”

Fréchette condemned the attack as an act that has “no place” in Canadian society.

"I would like to thank the police officers, first responders, and all those working on the ground," she stated, adding that an investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

In a press briefing later on Monday, Fréchette announced that the Quebec flag will be flown at half-mast in the aftermath of the shooting. She also stated that the province will dispatch psychological support teams to any individual affected by the attack who needs them.

Minister of Diaspora Affairs decries rise in antisemitic violence in Canada

Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli stated in a post on X/Twitter that he is closely monitoring the situation and that his ministry is in ongoing contact with community leaders and relevant authorities in Montreal.

“The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism stands ready to assist, support, and stand alongside the community during this difficult time,” he continued.

While the motivation behind the attack has not yet been confirmed by Canadian authorities, Chikli decried the rise in antisemitic violence against Canada’s Jewish communities over the past two years.

“As we have warned time and again, it is only a matter of time before there will be loss of innocent lives,” Chikli stated, urging local authorities to “stop with the condemnations and committees, and start with the action.”

Israel’s consulate in Montreal also extended its thoughts and prayers to all impacted by the shooting in a post on X/Twitter.

“We offer our most sincere condolences to the victims, their families, and all those affected by this tragedy,” the consulate said in a statement released on social media.

The consulate also expressed appreciation for the swift responses of Montreal Police (SPVM) and local law enforcement agencies.

First round of US-Iran talks ends with 60-day roadmap toward final deal, mediators say

Qatar and Pakistan said Monday that the first round of high-level talks between the United States and Iran had concluded in Switzerland with “encouraging progress,” including a 60-day roadmap toward a final agreement and new mechanisms meant to prevent escalation in the Strait of Hormuz and Lebanon.

The talks at the Qatari-owned Bürgenstock resort followed a tense opening in which Tehran said it had again restricted maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to resume attacks on Iran if it tried to close the waterway.

The Lake Lucerne Summit was held under the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and included representatives from Iran, the United States and the two mediating countries, Qatar and Pakistan. A U.S. official said Vice President JD Vance took part in the talks with Iranian officials.

In a joint statement, Qatar and Pakistan said the talks were conducted in a “positive and constructive atmosphere” and had produced “encouraging progress,” including the creation of a mechanism for further technical negotiations.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said separately that the work of the negotiating delegation had concluded, but that technical teams would continue their discussions, according to Iranian state and semi-official media. He said a text issued by Qatar and Pakistan would outline the general points agreed during 18 hours of talks and would be presented as the document of understandings reached in Switzerland.

According to the joint statement, the parties agreed to establish a High-Level Committee to provide political oversight of the mediation. Chief negotiators will report regularly to the committee and lead working groups focused on nuclear issues, sanctions, monitoring and dispute resolution, as well as other matters related to implementing the memorandum.

The committee also agreed on a roadmap aimed at reaching a final deal within 60 days, laying the groundwork for the immediate start of additional technical talks.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the “tireless” mediation by Pakistan and Qatar had delivered major progress toward ending the war in Lebanon. He said oil and petrochemical exports had received waivers, the blockade had been lifted, some frozen Iranian assets had been released and a major reconstruction and development plan for Iran had been launched.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said the sides discussed the basis for beginning negotiations toward a final agreement and that “good progress” had been made in Switzerland, according to IRNA and Press TV.

The mediators said the parties had also agreed to open a communication line to avoid incidents and miscommunication, with the goal of ensuring safe passage for commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.

The strait, a key choke point for global energy shipments, had become a central point of dispute before the talks. Iran said it had restricted traffic because the United States had failed to ensure a halt to fighting in Lebanon, while U.S. officials disputed that the waterway had been closed. Commercial shipping data cited in the report showed five vessels passed through the strait on Sunday, down from 26 a day earlier.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed that safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz had been discussed and that the sides agreed to arrange a mechanism.
